L'Occitane has launched its first make-up range and, having missed the press event last week, the lovely PR people sent me some beautiful products. Focusing on different peonies, each item has luxurious ingredients and natural floral scents and come packaged in eco recycled pots and paper packets like garden seeds.
From the make-up collection there's an illuminating powder which is a light, translucent pink, white and green pretty patterned pot and a limited edition face powder which is a fresh, versatile blusher in a gorgeous petal colour.
For lips there's a liquid shine lip colour which smells good enough to eat and adds a glossy sheen in a salmon pink colour, flecked with gold glitter. There's also a lip & cheek tinted water which is a liquid blush which brings out a healthy glow and, apparently, makes you look like you've blushed like a peony. Having not seen a peony blush, I'll have to take their word.
Then for those who like a daring, rich lip colour there's a fabulous deep crimson red lipstick called Feu d'Artifice with dashes of warm gold for a melted, deep shade.
Now, all the make-up is gorgeous but the fragrance collection is gorgeous. Featuring Paeonia extracts, the beauty milk is a light pink moisturiser made of grape seed oil, shea butter and peony extract which melts straightaway and leaves your skin smelling fantastic. The Pivoine Flora Eau de Toilette is a lovely floral scent with a green freshness which stays with you all day and I'm wearing it right now. I must say, I smell wonderful...
