I arranged my brother's fiancée's hen party last weekend and the dress code was sleek, stylish and chic LBDs. None of that tacky 80s garb, neon tutus, pink feather boas and jokes t-shirts rubbish, thanks very much!
So as I obviously didn't want to wear a little black dress which I already own, I hit up ASOS for special party frocks suitable for the occasion (and then accidentally bought orange and navy work dresses too...)
Body con dress by ASOS BLACK. Featuring an all over sequin embellished design, wet look finish, form fitting style with a slash neckline, long sleeves and a cut out design to reverse.
Frill shoulder dress by French Connection. Featuring a deep v-neckline, sleeveless styling with frilled detailing to the shoulders, a wrap front design with pleats from the side, and a mini length, with a concealed zip fastening to reverse, in a smooth, sleek finish.
I think I'm actually going to take this one back as satin is a bit too "hen party" and no one wants to look hen party-ish on a hen party... Or indeed ever.
Drape strap dress featuring keyhole detail to the front and reverse, halter neck, cross over front and draped straps.
This is the one I wore.
Jersey dress, featuring a statement twist knot design to the side and a deep scoop neckline with cropped puff sleeves.
Shift dress featuring a statement low cowl-style back, a fitted waist with pleats on the bust and skirt, a high boat neckline to the front and layered short sleeves with pleat detailing.
