London jeweller Sara Hartley kindly sent me a bracelet from her new jewellery collection, Tinies, a range of necklaces, bracelets and bangles featuring simplistic charms ranging from little people, a boy and girl (inspired by her two children) and animal shapes.
Sara studied at Sir John Cass, the leading jewellery university, graduating in 1996 before going on to create unique and timeless jewellery ranges from her central London studio. There's also a luxury line made with diamonds, rubies, sapphires, white gold and platinum and she also offers one-off special commissions.
I chose the rose gold plated elephant charm (who doesn't want a little elephant on their arm?) on three hand plaited chains and love the warm shade of pink metal against my skin. You can combine different characters in different metals - the jewellery designer creates pieces in 18 carat gold and sterling silver too - to create personalised pieces which make great gifts and the cutest grown-up friendship bracelets. Sara, you have a big new fan.
