The Autumn/ Winter 2013 collection from Marks & Spencer has certainly shaken things up. The new Style Director, ex-Jaeger Belinda Earls, has re-invigorated the womenswear offering with the British retailer's most directional collection for years.

The collections are split into capsules called Modern Elegance, London Calling, Wild Opulence, Femme Fatale and Dark Drama featuring chic workwear, modern LBDs, big statement jewellery, clean 60s-style monochrome, opulent brocade, 40s-inspired tweed tailoring, oxblood red, party season sequins, electric blue, bold animal print, 80s-style punky tartans and checks, soft suede, glossy leather and feminine, fluffy mohair knitwear. Here are a few of my favourite pieces; I'll certainly be picking up a few when they hit stores.
