Last week I was sent the new fragrance from Jimmy Choo, Stars, and have worn it every day since. Always a good sign. The latest women's perfume from the British shoe brand was released this autumn as a limited edition, refined twist on the original 2011 eau de parfum and is a delicious winter gourmand chypre: feminine, sweet and warm, lingering on the skin for hours.
The EDP opens with top notes of tangy candied orange and soft pear, before warming with middle notes of rich tiger orchid and sweet toffee and finishing with base notes of Indonesian patchouli and earthy sandalwood.
It's smooth, sweet but not sickly due to the fresh citrussy notes and the sensual, woody blend lasts a long time; it's quite heavy, so perfect for cooler months when light, summery perfumes just don't cut it. The glossy star packaging and gold lacquer bottle embodies glamour and rock ‘n’ roll, making Stars a must for the party season.
