lovely Anna Friel is playing Holly Golighty in Samuel Adamson's adaptation of Breakfast at Tiffany's at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, opening next month.
Award-winning Anna Friel’s theatre work includes Lulu for the Almeida Theatre Company both in London and New York and Patrick Marber’s Closer on Broadway. After being nominated for the Best Actress Golden Globe for Pushing Daisies and her latest string of Hollywood films - Land of the Lost with Will Ferrell this summer and London Boulevard with Keira Knightley and Colin Farrell - it's refreshing to see her go back to her thespy roots and hit the stage again.
Rather unusually, Chambord has sponsored the production. Apparently, this is the first time a company has sponsored a West End show so it's an interesting new marketing opportunity for brands looking for large sponsorship deals. The stylish liqueur brand explains that the partnership fits perfectly because their fans are 'fashionable, glamorous and independent women who like a little luxury in their lives'.
I'm so buying into that. I've got my tickets. And a bottle of Chambord.
