Basharatyan V, whose show I sat down to early afternoon on the Saturday, after staying up singing karaoke with my two best friends until 4am the previous night, and it woke me up a treat.
Russian designer Veronika Basharatyan was inspired by Frida Kahlo and her native, colourful Mexico, so the SS14 collection is full of vibrant, bright colours. The models stormed down the catwalk with 1920s blonde curls and Kahlo-esque strong brows in printed fabrics, soft pastel chiffon and billowing silk - starting off with pale grey with neon pops of lime green - before focusing on bold colourblocking.
She brings in the Mexican surrealist painter's references to female form with unusual silhouettes and a modern, masculine suit shape and long, swishy jumpsuit in blocks of red and white or black and white. New, bold and yet wearable.
