You'll never guess where this skirt is from. Well I'll tell you: SUPERDRY. I'm not a huge fan of logos, Americana styling, faux vintage font, hoodies, or super casual clothes in general really, apart from sports luxe, so I've never even been into a Superdry store until recently. Before being approached to choose a couple of pieces to feature, I'd kind of dismissed the British brand (despite the constant references and letters in the logo, the clothes are inspired by Japanese graphics, but it was set up in the UK, who knew?) as not really being my cup of tea. Until I met this sparkly beast. How wrong I was.
Hand-embellished silver sequins sit atop a fluorescent coral lining, waist trim and concealed back zip. I love the way the neon pink shines through and that the matte sequins aren't super shiny - the duller gunmetal somehow makes a totally sequinned skirt more relaxed. I like wearing it with loose grey t-shirts, black sweaters and white shirts tucked in for work. I never thought I'd wear something from Superdry to the office, but it balances casual and dressy perfectly.
