My mum once came home when I was 15 in the middle of studying for my GCSEs and instead of the planned afternoon of revision, I was up a ladder with a pot of paint, painting my walls a beautiful azure blue. She was not pleased, but that beautiful shade of blue was too hard a distraction to ignore. It's still one of my favourite colours and I particularly like it used in interiors.
