Last month I attended a fabulous event at Sea Containers in the Mondrian Hotel to celebrate Jimmy Choo's new modern floral, Illicit, launching this autumn. We watched a live performance from Sky Ferreira - the cool Cali rock chick fronting the campaign shot by Steven Klein in LA - tried out the new fragrance, chatted with the Creative Director Sandra Choi and had a few glasses of Champagne as the sun set over the Thames.
I'm a fan of the British brand's fragrances (last winter was all about Jimmy Choo Stars) which are usually quite sweet - this one is too: it's feminine and flowery but also confident, edgy and glamorous. Created by perfumer Anne Flipo, the eau de parfum opens with tangy bitter orange and ginger, softens into floral notes of rose and jasmine and moves onto a warm base of honey, amber and sandalwood, which lingers on your skin for hours.
Jimmy Choo Illicit EDP will be available from 31 August in 40ml, 60ml and 100ml
