Held in the grand Oak Room on Piccadilly in February, Paul Costelloe's London Fashion Week show was for women who mean business. The Dublin-born designer presented a modern take on power dressing for the Autumn/ Winter 2016 collection: tailoring, 80s references and tough edges from military jackets, chunky black ankle boots and leather fingerless gloves to corsets, metal chokers and ear cuffs.
Known for his wearable designs, tailoring and menswear, the collection is commercial but by no means dull with sheer organza dresses, oversize proportions, feminine baby dolls and statement looks in a dark colour palette of black, charcoal grey, oxblood red and more black. The models' hair and make up was grungey with smudged, smoky eyeliner and loose hair with messy quiffs. Here are my favourite looks.
