You know those easy throw-on-and-go dresses you always reach for in your wardrobe time and time again? This is one of those. I picked it up from Alexa Chung's first 'Archive by Alexa' collaboration with Marks & Spencer and I'm sure I'll be ordering some pieces from her second collection launching in November too.
I'm always a big fan of polka dots and the versatile grey-ish blue colour goes with both navy and black accessories, the bow and frill trim add a pretty detail and I wore it all summer with bare legs and will wear through autumn with black opaque tights and layers. This grey snakeskin bag was kindly sent to me last year by Folli Follie and is another perennial wardrobe staple: it's big enough to stash flats, a notebook, iPad and all the usual handbag essentials, yet it still looks neat and structured. I love its silver hardware too. And to finish off this very typical outfit, I've been wearing these Lily and Rose earrings to death too! The Sofia earrings are the Swedish jewellery brand's best-selling pair, featuring sparkling Swarovski crystals in a vintage-style setting.
