So First from luxury French jewellery house Van Cleef & Arpels is a beautiful floriental, gourmand fragrance. I'm addicted. Created by perfumer Nathalie Lorson, it's a fresh new reinterpretation of First, the debut perfume launched in 1976, to celebrate its 40th anniversary.
The new edition opens with bright bergamot, magnolia and freesia top notes, a smooth, feminine floral heart with jasmine petals, freesia and intense frangipani blossom with creamy bourbon vanilla and sensual sandalwood base notes. For me, this fragrance is spot on: it's light, elegant and floral with a lingering sweetness, perfect for spring.
